Need help?

The default Start OCHRE link requires Java 8 (with Java Web Start) and expects a 64-bit operating system and at least 4GB of RAM. OCHRE is available under Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. See this OCHRE Wiki article for additional help installing Java.

The other available Themes offer variations in the “look-and-feel” of the OCHRE interface, but have the same system requirements and  provide the same functionality.

If your computer has a 32-bit processor, or less than 4GB of RAM, or more than 6GB of RAM, or has an extra-high-resolution (DPI) screen, select the appropriate Alternate Version for starting OCHRE.

The Start OCHRE link will download a jnlp (or jsp) file which should launch Java. When launching a .jnlp file for the first time, you may need to associate this file type with “Java Web Start Launcher.” If Java Web Start Launcher is not available as an option, this suggests Java is not installed.

For other issues see our Frequently Asked Questions or visit our Wiki for further startup information.
